Welcome to Y3R’s class page!
In our first year of Juniors, we will be working hard and having fun all year round! I can’t wait to show all of the exciting learning our class will be taking part in whilst being part of a supportive and kind learning environment.
Key information:
Our school opens at 8:30am and our first lesson begins at 8:35am.
Reading records will be checked and books will be changed every Friday. We ask that you read 3 times per week and record this in the child's reading record.
Our weekly homework (as a minimum) will consist of: reading, spelling (word list will be released using a word search weekly) and TTRS (Times Tables Rock Stars).
Wednesday will be our P.E day – children need to come to school in their full P.E kit with appropriate footwear.
We kindly ask that children bring in a water bottle each day.

Autumn term
In History and Geography, we will be learning about UK cities with a focus on Sunderland, Newcastle and Durham whilst learning about sound and light in Science.
Our first class text is The Barnabus Project and we will be using this for our writing and reading lessons.
